Increase Your Income…with Life Insurance?
“The Sacred Account has helped me increase my income.”
I had a staff member share that with me yesterday and it was such a profound statement and so fundamentally important that I want to write about it this evening.
The Sacred Account is a High-Early-Cash-Value-Dividend-Paying-Whole-Life-Insurance-Policy (you can probably see why I just call it the Sacred Account).
Long story short it has three really big benefits:
- It is the safest place I can put my money. It is guaranteed to grow, guaranteed against loss, protected from taxation, protected from creditors, protected from lawsuits, is fully backed and also insured, plus a private contract between me and the insurance company that cannot be changed.
- I can borrow against it. If I deposit $1 into my Sacred Account, that $1 will grow at 3–5% per year on average, tax-free for the rest of my life. I can borrow 70–90% of that dollar at an interest cost of 1–3% and the entire dollar still grows at 3–5% like it never left.
- It is an automated, forced savings plan. Every month, my contributions get drafted from my bank and go into my account like clockwork.
You see, most people that know about this account focus on point #2. Some may focus on point #1.
But very few talk about point #3.
When you have a forced savings plan that it automated, it ensures you pay yourself first. Which means you build up money to invest faster. Makes sense, right?
However, it also gives you something called income necessity.
Income necessity is the fact that every month, that contribution is coming out of my bank account. So I need to generate income to make sure I can cover it.
So, when my staff member said it increased his income, what he meant is that it increased his income necessity.
