Wealth Is Work

The number 1 pitfall I see with people who decide they want to build wealth like the Top 1% actually do is this:
They don’t realize how much work it is going to take.
It sounds really nice to talk about Top 1% Wealth and Financial Freedom, but do people really think it’s going to be an easy shortcut?
Because it’s not.
99% of America fails to make it into the top 1% (which is why it’s called the top 1%).
90% of America fails to become Financially Independent.
Yet 80% of America lives paycheck to paycheck.
When I talk to new clients, sometimes they are looking for the magic silver bullet or the shortcut to wealth and I am here to say there isn’t one.
I still must actively earn income.
I must save what I earn and in the right places.
I must invest in real assets that have a low chance of losing money and produce passive income.
And I must do this better than at least 90% of Americans.
Let’s take something simple like starting a Sacred Account.
Seems simple enough right?
It’s a life insurance policy that I can save money into that protects my money and grows at 3–5% per year on average for the rest of my life, tax free.
I can take loans against it and my money still grows while I use it.
But…how do I pay my loans back? And how do I make sure my growth really is higher than my interest rate? And what do I invest in?
For me these are all really simple questions and easy answers, but I’ve put in the work to understand it all.
Americans are so conditioned to hand our finances off to Banks and Wall Street that we aren’t used to having to control and organize and understand these things ourselves.
And that’s probably the biggest pitfall.
So, when someone becomes I client, I set the expectation with them that this is going to mean more work than them and it would be easier just to give their money to Banks or Wall Street and be hands off and hope when they’re 70 they can retire. They will have less financial freedom that way, but it will be easier.
If you really want Financial Freedom, you need to be willing and able to put in the work it’s going to take.
